What A Beautiful Mess
On my way into the office this morning, I passed through the space in the educational building where Bible study occurs. On most days, it’s orderly and everything is in its place, but as of late the space is a beautiful mess and I love it. It’s a mess with preparation for the Christmas worship service that the children are getting ready to for. The same can be said for the Darby building, which has decorations for the Christmas float lining the floor against back wall. Yesterday, a group gathered together to prepare the BPW building for the upcoming Christmas dinner, which will also be used throughout the month of December. Simply put, what a beautiful mess we are making. Of course, the true beauty of it all is that everything will come together, and the mess will be no more. However, in the midst of all the planning, let us keep our spirits up and focused on Christ—the true light of all humankind (John 1:9). If you focus on Christ—You may see that this is the most wonderful time of the year.
“The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world.” (John 1:9)
“Yet, I am writing you a new commandment that is true in him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining.” (1 John 2:8).
