Thursday May 1st Announcements (Page 2)

We would like to provide info on who will be leading our services during the next three months.
Daniel Stevanus will lead four services with the first one Sunday, May 4th. Then, again on June 8, June 22 and July 13th.
Daniel grew up overseas in Bari, Italy as a missionary kid. There he developed his passion for people and call to ministryAfter high school he moved back to the United States to attend Columbia International University, where he earned his degrees in Pastoral Ministry as well as Bible. He then served as a middle school youth pastor on Long Island, NY for 5 years where he was ordained as a pastor.
He moved back south to Lexington, SC, where he worked in a similar role with both middle school and high school students. He then was promoted to being the director of the student ministry at Mt. Horeb Church. He served here for 9 years, leading his student ministry team and joining the teaching team for the church. We are excited and blessed to have him at St. John.
Charles Goodman, Jr. will lead us May 11th (Mother’s Day), June 1, June 15th (Father’s Day), June 29th, July 6th, July 20th and July 27th (Christmas in July).
Charles serves in ministry both within our community and across the CSRA. He and his wife, Jennifer, live in Aiken, SC, and are the proud parents of their seven-year-old son, Lance. Charles is President of the Aiken West Camp of The Gideon’s international, working to make God’s Word — the Bible — accessible and lived
out in people’s lives. Originally from New Ellenton, Charles is the son of Charles and
Minnie Goodman. He operates a technology and software firm, Design Soft LLC.
For over 25 years, Charles served as a Lay Speaker in the United Methodist Church, led worship in hundreds of Protestant churches, and has taught numerous Christian workshops and Bible studies. We are excited and blessed to have him also at St. John.
Phil Reynolds will lead us for a Special Service on May 18th
Phil was with us during our April 4th service. He is a retired Methodist pastor and current member of Mt. Horeb Methodist Church.
We give them all a warm welcome!
