Looking Ahead with Hope at St. John Methodist Church

As we look back on 2025, we do so with gratitude for God’s faithfulness and for the
steadfast spirit of the people of St. John Methodist Church. This past year brought significant change—calling for patience, flexibility, and trust. While change can be challenging, it has also revealed the strength, resilience, and deep commitment that exist within our church family.

As we move into 2026, we do so with hope and confidence, trusting that God continues to guide us. Rather than viewing recent challenges as something to simply endure, we choose to see them as opportunities – opportunities for renewed commitment, spiritual growth, and a clearer sense of God’s purpose for our church.

Our Focus for a Faithful and Fruitful 2026

As we move forward together, several priorities will help shape a strong and meaningful year of ministry at St. John.

Investing in the Next Generation
Supporting children’s and youth ministry remains essential. When we invest in our young people and their families, we invest in the present and future of the church.

Growing in the Word and in Discipleship
Bible studies and discipleship opportunities help believers grow deeper in faith and live out God’s Word in everyday life.

Encouraging Broader Participation in Ministry
A healthy church is built when many are involved. Inviting more people to serve allows gifts to be shared and strengthens the entire congregation.

Strengthening Community and Care
A welcoming and caring church reflects the love of Christ and creates a place where people feel known, supported, and valued.

Living with Clear Purpose and Direction
Clarity of mission and trust in God’s leading give us confidence as we continue forward.

What Can I Do?

A strong and faithful year of ministry is built when every member understands that they have a role to play. As we look ahead to 2026, here are simple and meaningful ways each of us can contribute to the life and mission of St. John Methodist Church.

Be Prayerful
Commit to praying regularly for our church, its leaders, its ministries, and the people God is calling us to reach.

Be Present
Faithfulness often begins with presence—being in worship, participating in studies, and showing up for church life.

Participate
Use your gifts and abilities in service. Every act of ministry, whether seen or unseen, matters.

Produce / Bear Fruit
Seek to grow spiritually and live out your faith daily, allowing Christ to produce fruit in your life.

Promote
Speak positively about the church and its ministries. Invite others to worship and help create a spirit of encouragement and hope.

Moving Forward Together

As we enter 2026, St. John Methodist Church does so with gratitude, faith, and expectation. These priorities remind us that a faithful church invests in the next generation, grows disciples rooted in Scripture, engages people in meaningful ministry, loves well, and moves forward with God-given purpose.

By God’s grace, the challenges of recent days can become a season of renewal –
strengthening St. John Methodist Church for the work God has prepared for us.
