Looking to God’s Plan for Saint John
Last month, I wrote in the Newsletter article that “. . . we are now standing with the door of 2021 shut behind us asking the question: What lies ahead?” I believe that God is always desiring us to ask this question, and not just to ourselves, but of Him. In other words, we should be constantly looking to God to lead us into tomorrow. Why? because He has a divine plan and rather than just do it Himself, which He is perfectly capable of — God has invited us (a flawed but called people) to help Him carry out His plans.
February is indeed a very short month and it’s going to come and go in the blink of an eye. Knowingly, then, let’s not spend this month in hibernation — just waiting for the cold chill to pass us by as we sleep. Let’s look to God, let’s embrace His shared vision, let’s plan and prepare ourselves to move with our Divine Creator.
God’s Shared Vision for Saint John
God sees Saint John as a hub for true Christian community where people come from all around to experience immersive worship, to experience loving fellowship; to ask probing questions that lead to deeper understanding, to learn how to think critically about the world, and to grow closer in our walk with God. Ultimately, God sees Saint John as a church body that offers the best of culture!
