Acolyte Training Was A Success
On January 22, we held an acolyte training session for our new acolytes. So, what is an acolyte? Acolytes are assistants to the worship services and they help everybody in the church to worship God. They serve as either a crucifer (cross carrier) or as a candlelighter, which are both very significant to the worship services. They also show others reverence and the posture of worship.
Rev. Healy, Felicia Faulkner & Alan Hayes Jr. worked together to teach the young acolytes both the meaning behind their roles as well as how to carry them out. Here are some pics of the training session followed by a video of the worship service on the following day. Let us all celebrate together how these beautiful children are serving God through worship.
