This Past October Was A Very Busy Month!

The above headline says it all — October was quite busy, and it looks like November and December are going to be busy as well, which is to be expected during this time of year. The next few pages will cover some of the things that happened during the month of October – in sequence.

Hester Street Clean Up!

Although, not the most glamorous thing to do on a Saturday morning, it is noteworthy. A group of people kicked off October by picking up the litter on Hester Street. The cleanup was on October 1st at 9am and took no longer than 1 hour and thirty minutes. Throughout the past year, clean-up on Hester Street has been a regular thing at Saint John. We could always use an extra pair of hands – and, most importantly, we are taking care of what God has entrusted us with. So, let’s continue to keep it clean. Let us (Kendell or Evelyn) know if you would like to help out!

Decorations for the Upcoming Christmas Float

Throughout the month, a small group gathered together on Thursdays—from 5-6pm and prepared decorations for the Christmas float. Here are a few pics from some of the gatherings. If you have the time, they would love for you to join them — They will be meeting every Thursday from 5-6pm until the Graniteville Christmas parade.

Saint John Seniors — Picnic

On October 11th, Saint John seniors held a wonderful picnic. The weather was perfect and as you can see from the pics below — it was a beautiful time together.

Saint John Seniors will meet again on November 8th at 12pm in the BPW building.

Menu: Soup, Sandwiches, Salads & Dessert (YUM!)
Please let Lynn Chapman know if you plan to bring your favorite soup

*For December: St. John Seniors will meet Tuesday, Dec. 13th at 12pm. The meal will be catered by Shealy’s at the cost of $15.00 per person. Please plan to pay before December 11th in order for us to get an accurate head count.
