Christmas Day Dinner

We had our 2nd annual Christmas dinner on Dec. 25th 2022. Final preparations for the dinner began at around 3:30 when we put on some decaf coffee and lit the burners. We put the finishing touches on things as family and friends began to arrive with their homemade meals. There was Turkey and dressing as well as ham and all the delicious sides, you could ask for. While there were some deserts, it was nice to see we didn’t over do this part. There was plenty to be had and about 40 people were to attend but a few people had to drop out due to illness or other things. Overall, the head count was about 36. As the Christmas music played in the background, family & friends enjoyed a meal together and the conversations being had were full of laughter and joy.

The decorations made it lighthearted and fun. The theme was a Candy snowman with jewel adorned place napkins that added plenty of bling, which was used as a scarf for the snowman.  Utensils were used as the arms and Rollo candy for the buttons with coal candy for the eyes and candy corn for the nose, topped off with a black square napkin for the top hat. The center piece was a beautiful white flower. Lastly, the fireplace was adorned with stocking and snowmen.

Cleanup was fast and efficient, and the ladies worked very hard to get this done. What would we do without these wonderful gals. A very special thanks for the theme, design and set up going to Mitzi Hayes, Bobby Jean, Felicia Faulkner, Vicky Clark, Laura Williams, and Sue Herrin. We also thank everyone for the coming to this special Christmas event and sharing the love as well as the clean-up.

Merry Christmas and see you again next yearJ
