Saint John Shag Dance Group

One of the signs of a healthy church is in the people that gather to simply do things together, and I fully believe that “church” gatherings do not have to only be bible study and fellowship meals (although those are extremely important). What about other things like . . . a shag dance group led by Rodney and Laura Williams! During the month of February, a group of people gathered together on Monday evenings for shag dance lessons. I stopped in last night, and took a few pics of everyone having a wonderful time.

New WoodCarving Group Beginning in April

Just as I mentioned above that a sign of a healthy church is in the groups and activities in the church—a new woodcarving group will be forming beginning in April. The group will be led by Rusty Busbee who will be teaching people how to carve comfort crosses (perfect for Easter!). Rusty will provide knives and gloves, and he plans to teach all aspects of woodcarving.

The class/group will meet on April 3rd, 10th; & 17th from 6:30 to 8:30pm

A sign-up sheet will be provided in the sanctuary. Again, this is a wonderful way to celebrate the Easter season.
