Children & Youth

Esther Timmerman is our new children and youth director. We are excited to see all that God is doing through Esther. The following are the vision and goal statements for all that God is doing through Esther for the children and youth at St. John. She is currently in the process of working out a new program. We can all support this vital ministry through our prayers.

Vision: To show the love of God through our teaching and fellowship with our youth ministry. To develop every child to know:

  • God loves them and that He has a good plan and purpose for them.
  • God’s way is the best way.
  • To be passionate for Jesus, our church, and the youth ministry.
  • To be prepared for their life, relationships, and to grow with Christ as the center of their lives.

Goal: To embrace and invest in our youth and to teach them the doctrines and disciplines of the Church, and to inspire them to be faithful disciples who have a love and passion for Jesus the Christ.

Remembering the Reverend Jay Pifer

Sunday, October 8th will be a special time at St. John during our 11:00 am service. In memory of the Reverend Jay Pifer, we will be dedicating the keyboard that his family donated to St. John in his memory.

We will honor his memory with his favorite hymns and his daughter, Dr. Tammy Than, will deliver the message.

Although not a member of St. John, his devotion to our church was a true blessing. Please plan to join us as we honor the memory of a good and faithful servant to God, the Reverend Jay Pifer.
